I have the pleasure of working with some great Richmond realtors, and Shannon Milligan of RVA Home Team is one of them.
Shannon is a great resource for anyone looking to buy or sell a home in Richmond, VA and she happens to be a super fun gal as well. Take a few moments to learn about Shannon and her passion for life and real estate:
When did you get in the real estate business? I have been in the business since 2006. First working as the Marketing Associate for 6+ Coldwell Banker offices in Upstate New York, then obtaining my license and working with the multi-million dollar producing team Ask Gina & Company with Keller Williams Realty Loudoun Gateway in Northern VA.
Tell me about your philosophy… The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have done to you. Real estate isn’t just about buying or selling, it really is about helping families achieve their goal of home ownership. Win-Win or no deal!
What separates you from the competition? My clients describe me as diligent and willing to go to bat for them, and I like to think that is pretty accurate. I am responsive and truly care about each and every client I work with. I like to work as a team with my clients…we are in it together and I never want them to feel like they are alone.
What are some of the fun things you and your team do to loosen up? I like to just have a nice cook-out with some friends…and then wish someone was there to do all of the cleaning!
Who is your favorite sports team? Penn State Football. We Are!
Do you have a website or Facebook page that you would like to share? Of course! http://www.rvahometeam.com
What is your primary real estate goal this year? To continue to grow with a reputation for giving back to the community that allows me to do what I LOVE.
What’s the last movie you saw? How was it? We just saw Promised Land with Matt Damon. I like anything with him in it, so I am biased. Good Will Hunting is one of my top 5 movies.
Given your success in real estate, who would you say you look up to? Wow. There are too many to mention, however I will give a shout out to a few: God. He knows my path better than anyone. My husband and children. Without their love and support, I couldn’t do what I am passionate about. Gina Tufano with Keller Williams Realty in Northern Virginia. She has taught me everything I know and continues to be a mentor. If you ever think you are too good to have a mentor, you have lost your way. There is always room to improve. Always.
What is your favorite local restaurant? Since I have 6 year old twins, we don’t go out too much. However, I do love me some Adam’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory!
