Sunday Spotlight: Realtor Meghan Dickey

I’ve known Meghan since we were little kids–we both grew up around Petersburg, Virginia, and now call Richmond home.  I only hold two things against her: She is a Prince George Royal and a Virginia Tech Hokie (Go Hopewell Blue Devils and Hoos!)  Even though our alma maters would dictate we go through life as archenemies, we have found a way to get beyond these differences and be good friends.

Meghan has the perfect personality to help first-time home buyers find their first nest, and I hope you enjoy learning more about her.

Why did you get in the real estate business?

I have a background in account management and customer service and enjoy listening to people’s needs and helping them achieve their goals. I specialize as a buyers’ agent for not only first time buyers, but for anyone looking to find a new place to call home. The excitement and energy of searching home buyers makes every day in this business enjoyable for me.

Tell me about your philosophy…

My philosophy is to always be honest and courteous to others. I am a very outgoing, bubbly person, and I hope that every day I can make someone smile. What better way to make people smile then to put them in the home of their dreams, right?

What separates you from the competition?

I feel that I am optimistic and enthusiastic about the market and get excited when I think about the difference I could make in someone’s life. I hope to always have good relationships with not only my clients but everyone I come into contact with.

Who is your favorite sports team?

Sorry, Whit, but Let’s Go HOKIES!!!!

Do you have a website or Facebook page that you would like to share?

What is your primary business goal this year?

To learn even more about real estate and utilize those skills to help my clients.

What’s the last movie you saw? How was it?

The Call with Halle Berry. It was entertaining to say the least, but this is in no way my recommendation.

Who is your role model?

My mother. Her positive attitude and extremely caring sense of being is what drives me to look at each day as a new experience and a way to make a difference. She is a beautiful person inside and out and I pray to be half the woman she is when I “grow up.”

What is your favorite local restaurant?

Asian Cuisine: Osaka (I don’t even like seafood, but their sweet potato rolls are to die for!)

Chain Restaurant: Cheesecake Factory

Comfort Food: Obviously Comfort (Pork Tenderloin and scalloped potatoes are the perfect combination.)
