HomeStyle Renovation Loan Candidate: 5502 Queensbury Road

I walked by this house in my neighborhood just last week, and I am just dying to fix it up.  It has beautiful bones and great potential.  It’s in the small, quaint neighborhood of Glenburnie in the Near West End of Richmond and is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Libbie/Grove and Libbie/Patterson.

5502 Queesnbury Road, Richmond, VA 23226

This house would be the perfect candidate for a HomeStyle renovation loan where you can borrow additional funds to put towards renovation costs.

I would start with landscaping the front yard…

My next step would be to redo the backyard and deck…

I would tackle the kitchen and bathrooms…

The other rooms in the house are in good shape, but I think the floors could use refinishing and the walls could use painting…

Let me know if you’re interested in having me run renovation loan numbers for you on this home.  I don’t think it will last long.

  1. Love this post! I’m doing a few Homestyles right now. They are a great renovation loan! I like the pictures you added and you personal touch.

  2. Much of the program’s strength stems from the efforts
of VA employees and loan servicers nationwide,
whose mission is to ensure all veterans receive every possible opportunity to
remain in their homes, avoid foreclosure, and protect their credit from the consequences of a foreclosure.
In 2011 just under 40% of all mortgages used to
purchase a home nationally where FHA Insured Mortgages. 5 percent for FHA financing and up to 20% percent
for conventional loans. * If you have credit cards, always make full and timely
payments and keep balances at zero. This loan scheme is
designed to help the borrowers to meet their various personal needs or desires.
